Big Winds is an online kiteboarding and windsurfing gear shop.  They had grown considerably since the site was first designed, and they needed to split it into two sections (one for windsurfing, and one for kiteboarding).  The splash page I designed for them is a simple but exciting way to enter the site.

The splash page is built around Big Wind’s pre-existing logo.  The provided several photographs of windsurfers and kiteboarders, and I chose two that would work well together.  Hover states for each side make it easy to notice the links, and the colors match those used throughout the rest of the site.
