Google Reader Brain Fakeout

I, like many, have a problem with RSS feeds. I have too many of them, and I check up on them far too often. I recently switched to Google Reader just to make sure I could get my fix when I’m away-from-mac, and have been quite happy with the transition. Google Reader has a tight little interface, and tearing through a hundred subscriptions hardly takes any time at all. What does take waste time is following the interesting articles. In my old feed reader I would push the good ones to a tab in my browser, then happily read and close each tab. Realizing that I very badly need to curb this feed-following habit, I discovered “the star”.
I tell myself “I’ll just star the ones I want to read, and read them later”. Mega-hardcore procrastinator that I am, I never get around to reading these starred articles, and save a boatload of time not-doing so. Thank you Google, for helping me trick my awful do-it-later brain, and keeping me a little more productive.
